Well, that was a long break! Sorry about that. Lots has been going on. After Thanksgiving, our dear friend Rebecca came to hang out for a few days, and we enjoyed showing her around Greenville and introducing her to friends. Greenville is mighty lovely this time of year, and that makes it even more fun to see our city as a tourist sees it.

Speaking of tourism, last weekend we went to Austin! It was a quick trip-only 3 days or so, but we packed a ton into a short time.

Austin is such a fun town! We ate tons of delicious food (Torchy’s Tacos are to die for), went thrifting, did some record shopping, and walked around the beautiful downtown area.

It was great to see Mason’s brother Hunter, our friends Dawn & Joel, and other friends of theirs. We also got to meet up for coffee and chai with their cousin Lauren, who lives near Austin. Hurray for family!

Austin, the capital of Texas, also has the largest state capitol building of all the states. I laughed at how stereotypical that is. Clearly, you don’t need to mess with Texas.

We had a total blast in Austin. More friends are headed to town this weekend. The party continues!
